Acai Berry

Acai is the fruit of a palm tree native to South America.

Acai berry, acai palm, cabbage palm, palm berry it doesn’t matter what you call it, it’s a superfood as seen on Oprah and in all the health magazines.

It’s claims are remarkable including preventing Cancer, Heart disease, Stroke, Diarrhea, and Autoimmune disorders.

It’s no wonder it’s so highly spoken of. It’s also evident in the price. I didn’t find any actual berries in my search but I did find a lot of drinks with the Acai Berries in them.

One that looked really promising was the Acai Juice which was almost $50.00 for 16 fl. oz. They say that’s a good buy, I think I’ll hold out for more information regarding this healing superfood.

In the meantime I’ll just stick to the basics, healthy eating, exercise and plenty of sunshine. I couldn’t escape the sunshine even if I wanted to here in Vegas with the mercury steadily rising, every minute it seems.

If any of you out there have tried the Acai Berries for alternative health medicine I would like to hear from you and learn more about this superfood from firsthand users.

Healthy Choice at Starbucks

Yes, you can make a healthy choice at starbucks! It sounds impossible but it’s really not.

I used to drink the Caramel Frappuccino® Blended Coffee (grande) until I looked at the Starbucks Nutrition website and found out exactly how many calories it had, I was in shock.

After seeing the sky high calories and fat I decided that I need to change my drink of choice.

I thought it wouldn’t taste as good without all the fat but I was wrong it tastes even better especially knowing you’re drinking less fat and staying just that much more healthy.

So my drink of choice is now the Skinny Caramel Latte.

I’m sure you can see the huge difference this makes as far as trying in every area to be a little more conscious of your decisions to help you feel better, live better, and stay out of the doctor’s office.

If you can make a change as simple as this it will help you in the long run!

Healthy Breakfast Juice

I make this heathy breakfast juice for my family and they enjoy it.

I hide a ton of veggies in it that they can’t even taste. It’s not only delicious but nutritious!

4 stalks of celery

1 green bell pepper

1 orange bell pepper

1 small cucumber

2 oranges (peeled)

2 apples (I like Gala)

2 med. carrots

2 handfuls of spinach leaves

Just add all these into a juicer and voila! it makes a healthy, delicious, and nutritious juice and your kids won’t even be able to tell that all of those veggies are in there.

If it’s not sweet enough just add another apple or orange.
