It’s Working!

The supplements are helping us!

A few days after we started taking astragalus, vitamin c, vitamin e, and St. Johns Wart my daughter came home from school with a sore throat.

The next morning she was coughing then later that night she had a fever and I was getting irritated, I told my husband, “Why aren’t these helping? Gilians not supposed to get sick I’ve been doing everything I can to prevent it.”

So I thought it wasn’t working but the next day her fever was gone and she just had the sniffles.

The day after that they too were gone. How I know that they are working is usually when Gilian gets a fever when she’s sick she’s down and out for at least 3-5 days.

So even if it’s doesn’t prevent everything it still really helps and is worth it for the sake of the kids!

You too can make Starbucks!

What? We can make Starbucks at home? Yep they are giving us some of their recipes to try at home! Cool, huh?
I think this sounds so good and just in time for the fall season, it’s Banana Walnut Bread.
Here’s the ingredients:
2 cups flour
1tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 1/8 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2Tbl. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 ripe medium bananas (mashed)
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Pre-heat oven to 325, grease a loaf pan and dust with flour. Blend together flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside. Mix together the egg, sugar, and vegetable oil until combined. Add flour mixture, when blended add the buttermilk, vanilla, and mashed bananas and mix until combined. Fold in half the walnuts then pour batter into loaf pan then add remaining walnuts to the top. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack before removing from pan.
